Holstein Association USA, located in Brattleboro, VT, is a dynamic, innovative, growing organization and is currently seeking a Systems Analyst for our Information Services Department.

Focused on information and technology services, the Systems Analyst will analyze and evaluate business processes and implement solutions to improve efficiency, productivity and the overall business strategies. This individual must be able to analyze the current landscape, understand business requirements/processes, facilitate solution conversations with clients and then lead the project to completion. The Systems Analyst will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with relational databases such as Informix, MS SQL, MySQL and experience with HTML, XML, SQL, Java, Web services and Internet technologies required. Additionally, knowledge and experience with Microsoft Net Framework and Visual Studio software development tools, along with competency in the use of MS Office Software required.

The individual for this position must be a true team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills. Prior experience within the dairy industry or agri-business is highly preferred.

Genetic Testing Services Analyst

Holstein Association USA, Inc. is a dynamic, innovative, growing organization that offers a friendly and inspiring work environment.

The Holstein Association is looking for a talented professional to provide support to the Association’s genomic and genetic testing programs. As a member of the Holstein Genetic Services team, the successful candidate will support the Association’s genomic & genetic testing programs by interpreting DNA genotypes, Council on Dairy Cattle Breeder (CDCB) data, and lab reports to arrive at decisions for correcting parentage of animals; analyze problem cases; communicate with breeders, owners and laboratory staff to answer questions and resolve issues; assist with ordering genomic and genetic testing materials and results distribution; support department software programs and products; and assist with additional staff training, as required.

The preferred candidate will have a college degree and a dairy industry background. High level of comfort working with computer systems; strong written and verbal communication, as well as excellent organizational skills are required. The ability to work well with others in a team environment is a must.
