DeLaval Introduces its New Robotic Milking System, the DeLaval VMS™ V300

Redesigned voluntary milking system creates new experience for cows and farmers

DeLaval recently unveiled the all-new Voluntary Milking System VMS™ V300 to producers and industry representatives at their robotic milking conference, VMS PRO North America, in Madison, WI. The VMS V300 helps farmers by making them less reliant on future labor market uncertainties and keeping them at the forefront of animal welfare and food safety. This redesigned milking system contributes to the profitability of dairy farming not only today but also for generations to come.

“As a market leader, we have both an obligation and an opportunity to contribute to better milking practices in all parts of the world, directly aiming at helping farmers with their daily challenges,” says Joakim Rosengren, DeLaval President and CEO. “The design of the new VMS V300 system has farmers and their challenges at its core, allowing farmers to do more with less. We are indeed very satisfied with the fantastic result achieved.”

With a 10 percent higher capacity, up to 50 percent faster attachment time, up to 99.8 percent attachment rate, up to 99 percent teat spray hit rate, real quarter milking, lower running cost than earlier systems and with a potential of up to 7,500 pounds of milk per day, the DeLaval VMS V300 is setting an all new industry performance standard*.

The VMS V300 systemcomes with DeLaval InControl™, the new user interface allowing access to information and control of the system remotely. DeLaval PureFlow™, the new, transparent teat preparation cup, is another new feature. Lastly, DeLaval InSight™, the latest in vision technology ensures a smooth, fast and accurate attachment.

“You can have a normal family life, and you can have normal working hours. Your employees can have normal working hours as well. It will be easy to be a farmer in the future,” says Søren Højgaard Andersen, DeLaval VMS V300 farm owner, Denmark.

Additional Innovations from DeLaval

DelPro™ Companion

The VMS V300 brings with it additional technology to enhance herd management. DeLaval DelPro™ Companion is a new mobile app that puts full herd management capabilities at your fingertips. Producers in either robotic or conventional milking systems can view cow lists, record data, remotely access their herd’s activities and more. DelPro Companion will be available in fall of 2018 for both Apple and Android devices for use with systems running DelPro 5.3 and later versions.

DeLaval InService™ All-Inclusive

DeLaval has also revamped their customer service program to accommodate this significant leap in automatic milking technology. DeLaval InService™ All-Inclusive customer program provides service, consumables, advisory and everything in between on a contract system. DeLaval InService provides farmers with time to focus on the business of dairy farming with the peace of mind that the system is running at peak performance.

OptiDuo™

Recently launched in other parts of the world and coming soon to North America is the OptiDuo™ feed pusher. It doesn’t just push feed; it remixes it. DeLaval North America anticipates availability of this feeding solution in 2019. Please visit the DeLaval booth at World Dairy Expo to learn more.
