Update from Laura Dufford Jackson (Patricia’s daughter and Reese’s Aunt) posted last night:
Reese had a big day today. She must have known she needed to prepare because she got plenty of rest and her stats and numbers stayed good all day. Her surgery prep got underway about 4:30pm and finished up at about 11:00…So little Reese had a long surgery but to no surprise, she handled it just fine. She is officially off of ECMO and now on R-VAD. The doctors and staff are very pleased with her progress thus far and are closely monitoring her. We thank all that stopped today to say extra prayers for Reese. We truly believe God is listening. We continue to pray that this new device is the answer and will be what leads Reese to a full recovery. So thankful to the Johns Hopkins doctors and staff for providing us with “Reese’s Dream Team”. These people who work on Reese are amazing! We feel positive and prayerful (and trying to be patient) tonight.
