2017 Grand Champion, Eichlers Md Blanche-ET, owned by Peter Vail & Hillpoint Partners of Englewood, Fla., returned to the colored shavings to be named Senior and Grand Champion of the 2019 International Milking Shorthorn Show at World Dairy Expo on October 2. Blanche received the $1,000 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Cash Award for this honor. Reserve Senior and Reserve Grand Champion titles were presented to Trilow Zeus Lala-ET, owned by Triston & Willow Upchurch and Susan Lee of Oxford, Wis.
The winning pair of Junior Two-Year-Old Cows claimed the Intermediate Champion titles. Lazy M Greek Leda-EXP-ET, owned by Lazy M Farm LLC – Michael & Herman Maier of Stitzer, Wis, was named Intermediate Champion of the International Milking Shorthorn Show, and Reserve Intermediate Champion honors went to Lazy M Jekyll Arizona, owned by Trent J. Wingert, Jr. of Kent, Ill.
Hard Core Md Justice Rozly-EXP and Heavenly Badger Lime, both owned by Mike Gregory of Anamosa, Iowa, took home the Junior Champion and Reserve Junior Champion titles, respectively.
Premier Breeder of the 2019 International Milking Shorthorn Show is Hard Core. Peter Vail and Mike & Linda Hellenbrand took the honor of Premier Exhibitor. Purple Idalee RR Zeus-EXP-ET was named Premier Sire and Premier Sire of the Heifer Show. Heavenly Show Cattle took the Premier Breeder of the Heifer Show title while Lazy M Farm, LLC – Michael & Herman Maier claimed the title of Premier Exhibitor of the Heifer Show.
Official judge Keith Topp, Botkins, Ohio, and associate judge Clark Morgan, Urbana, Ohio, placed 206 entries.
