Beverley Spriel Named Jersey Ontario Secretary-Manager


DSC_0076_pp-245x300[1]Jersey Ontario Board of Directors is pleased to announce Beverley Spriel has joined Ontario Jersey, effective, August 4, 2015, assuming the role of Secretary-Manager.

Beverley is well known throughout the Canadian dairy industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to the position. She previously served with various dairy industry associations and non-profit organizations and brings immense understanding of association membership needs:

  • Secretary-Manager, Canadian Livestock Exporters Association (1989-2000)
  • Grant & Funding Manager, Ontario 4-H (2000-2001)
  • Program Manager, Canadian Livestock Genetics Association (2000-2014)

Since 1996, Beverley has secured and managed more than $80 million in Industry and Federal Government funding for Market Development and Program Development for non-profit organizations.

Through her own company, Fulcrum Agricultural Consulting Inc., Beverley continues to work with various agricultural associations and companies, in order to develop business and market development objectives, through the establishment of business plans, grant applications as well as, program and project management.

Commenting on the appointment, Christopher Kyle, Jersey Ontario Board President said: “We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Beverley’s caliber and experience to take over the leadership role at Jersey Ontario. We now look forward to a new era and the continuation of the market-led services our organization provides the membership of Ontario Jersey.

“On behalf of the Board and the membership, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our previous Secretary-Manager, Kristi Gilchrist, for her years of dedication and service to the Association.”

Beverley is locally-based and resides in St. George, Ontario, with her partner Mark and miniature Schnauzer dog, Simon.

Jersey Ontario is a provincial, not-for-profit industry association, representing the needs and interests of breeders and producers involved with registered Jersey cattle in Ontario.
