National Guernsey Convention Kick-Off Open House Cancelled, Tag Sale Still On

The kick off to the National Guernsey Convention drive-in day open house & lunch at Land of Living Farm that was previously scheduled for Tuesday, June 16 has been canceled due to the recent death of Austin Ayars, son of John and Bonnie Ayars, Mechanicsburg, Ohio.

The American Guernsey Association office in Columbus will still hold its scheduled open house as planned that day.

The Land of Living Tag Sale is still scheduled but with a few changes. The sale will now be facilitated by Brian Schnebly of the Guernsey Marketing Service. Viewing of the cattle will be available ONLY on Tuesday, June 16 at the farm. Schnebly and Wayne Sliker will be on hand at the farm in Mechancisburg on that day from 9 am to 6 pm. Serious inquiries only should all be directed to Brian Schnebly or Wayne Sliker on Tuesday or contact Brian by phone at 614.329.2600 or Wayne at 937.477.6304.

The American Guernsey Association and Guernsey Marketing Service would like to ask that you respect the family’s privacy during this time and direct all questions and offers for cattle to Brian Schnebly beginning Monday, June 15. Please adjust all plans to view the cattle to Tuesday, June 16.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ayars family.
