Midwest Spring Special Jersey Sale Averages $3,710


Marynole Excite Rosey VG 89 – Res AA Sr 2 Yr Old!

The Midwest Spring Special Sale took place at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds in Rochester, MN today.  The sale averaged $3,710 on 73 live lots.

High seller at $25,600 was a package of two females from and Marynole Exite Rosey (VG-89) consigned by Ernest Kueffner of Boonsboro, MD. Rosey was the Intermediate Champion at the International Jersey Show and was the Reserve All-American Senior 2-Year-Old in 2012. Buyers had a choice of Excitations or Tequilas from Rosie’s dam, Rosebud, or Verb, Chavez or Hired Gun calves from Rosey. The choice of two females from this package was purchased by the R & R Syndicate of Arlington, MN.

High live lot, bringing $13,500, was Lot 6 – Avonlea Int’l Dare to Dream – a Jr. 3-Year-Old for 2013 that placed 10th as a Jr. 2-Year-Old at the 2012 International Jersey Show.  Dream is an Iatola x Arethusa Comerica Dolce Vita EX-91, 2nd dam Huronia Centurion Veronica 20J. Consigned by Peter Vail & Budjon Farms, Lomira, WI and purchased by Schulte Bros., Watkins, IA,

Lot 10 – Woodmohr Mini Aspen, a senior 3-year-old Minister daughter that stood on the end of the line and caught everybody’s eye, found a new home in Kansas at Ratliff Jerseys who made the final bid of $12,600. Out of an EX-92 Senior dam, Aspen was consigned by Woodmohr Jerseys of Bloomer, WI.

The sale was managed by Greg and Ole Nelson with Jack Lomeo serving as auctioneer and Dan Bauer reading pedigrees.
